Egg Capsicum Kulambu/Muttai Kudamilagai Kulambu

IMG_7367This is a kulambu which goes well as a side dish with rice, chapathi, naan and parota. This is very easy to prepare when you are in a hurry. The combination of egg and capsicum gives a nice flavor and taste. It requires only few ingredients to keep and tastes very nice. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 10minutes

Cooking Time: 25minutes

Ingredients:

  • Eggs -2
  • Big onion -2
  • Capsicum -1/4
  • Tomato -2
  • Red chilli powder/Milagai thool -1tblsp
  • Coriander powder/Malli thool -1tblsp
  • Cumin seeds powder/Seeraka thool -2tsp
  • Turmeric powder/Manjal thool -1tsp
  • Salt -1tblsp or as required
  • Water -1cup or as required
  • Oil -2tblsp or as required

For Grinding:

  • Tomato -2

Grind tomatoes in a mixer to a fine puree and keep

Preparation:

  • Chop onion and capsicum into small pieces
  • Grind tomatoes in a mixer to a fine puree and keep

Procedure:

  • Pour oil in a pan
  • Add onions and fry
  • Then add capsicum and fry for some time
  • Then add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt and fry
  • Then add grinded tomato and cook till the raw smell goes away
  • Add water and boil
  • Then add eggs and fry in low flame for five minutes
  • Egg Capsicum Kulambu is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:
