Nattu Kozhi Masala/Country Chicken Masala

IMG_7121This is a spicy South Indian curry which goes well with rice, chapathi, idli and dosa. This is a very spicy and delicious chicken masala which can be prepared easily. Even though chicken was consumed by humans throughout history, its popularity fluctuated across different periods. At times, it was considered a luxury food, but now it’s not like that. Initially chickens were raised by individual families for their own consumption but as towns expanded now chicken are raised for selling. Chicken is a great source of lean, high quality protein, which is an essential nutrient for growth and development. It plays a significant role in aiding obese people in weight loss too. You can buy chicken and consume it by keeping any gravy suddenly or you can refrigerate it for later use. For storage, store chicken in coldest part of your refrigerator. Refrigeration can keep raw chicken fresh for two to three days. While freezing chicken, use aluminum foil or freezer paper to wrap the chicken parts carefully to ensure they are airtight.
